It may be April Fool’s Day, but I’m sure former Autonomy CEO Mike Lynch and HP execs aren’t laughing about this. As deal gone bad

HP filed suit in London this week against Lynch and former Autonomy CFO Sushovan Hussain over alleged accounting improprieties to the tune of $5.1B. Lynch and company’s response? Counter-sue, as a war that’s been going on for almost four years, continues unabated.

He has kept a blog called AutonomyAccounts.org for a couple of years expressly for the purpose of answering HP’s charges and his latest entry from yesterday indicated former Autonomy execs are counter-suing HP for £100 million.

“HP can confirm that, on March 30, a Claim Form was filed against Michael Lynch and Sushovan Hussain alleging they engaged in fraudulent activities while executives at Autonomy. The lawsuit seeks damages from them of approximately $5.1 billion. HP will not comment further until the proceedings have been served on the defendants.” – HP Spokesperson”.

Deal Gone Bad. Shortly after HP finalized an agreement to buy Autonomy for over $10B back in 2011, the deal began to go sideways.

A year later, HP alleged that it had been bamboozled by Autonomy and that it had played fast and loose with its accounting practices.

“From what has already been discussed for a deal of this size quite limited information relating to Autonomy deals and accounting procedures was released to those involved in the work – they did not have full access nor is it clear that they requested it or had a mandate to gain it,” Pelz-Sharpe said in an email.

By the time HP figured things out, it made allegations about Autonomy’s bookkeeping practices and took an $8.8B write down.

Pelz-Sharpe says the counter-suit by Autonomy is par for the course.

Autonomy executives will have to answer for it one way or another.

A friend asked me this question; why are you single Dionne???.. I have asked myself the same question ”Why am I single?” a couple times and most people have asked me too but I usually don’t give a valid answer.

Am sure have given lots of cheesy replies like: I haven’t found my prince charming yet,  you haven’t proposed yet, Just lucky, I guess,  am on a self discovery path, am waiting for Channing Tatum to divorce his wife, am not ready for a relationship, I have too many stalkers on friendite.com to choose from…. but deep down, I still ponder if those are honest replies. Why am I single?

Then, I decided to carry out a survey, I asked people through the media the question ”Why are you single?” and I got really funny answers. 60% are still searching for their Caro and Johnny, 25% live in fantasy Island, and 15% don’t know what they want.

Chinedu came and picked me from the office, we were hungry after a stressful day so, we decided to have dinner at Nwanyi Abagana’s restaurant. I struggled with my oha soup and wheat while he was delightfully enjoying his bitterleaf soup with fufu. We didn’t talk much because we didn’t want to give the flies the opportunity to enter our mouth.

After the dinner, we drove to a community school yard, we sat on a block pavement, and we talked about our day, work, we even joked about some people. It was sparsely dark because the sky was illuminated by a full crescent moon, the wind blew gently causing goose bumps to envelope my skin. It felt beautiful, just having someone to talk to, someone that is interested in your happiness, that will make you smile, make you giggle like a child and want to talk and listen to their voice forever.

I was lost in his words, he was talking about a project he is working on. I wanted time to stand still so that I could stay longer with him, not because am interested in the project but his voice brings comfort, it puts me at ease and makes me float in limbo. But it was getting dark and he urged to take me home, we decided to walk to my house which is just a stone throw from the pack. We got to my gate and we bid farewells, I hugged him and whispered ”goodnight”, I was about opening the gate and he drew me back, I closed my eyes waiting for him to plant a kiss on my lips……

I felt a nudge, I heard voices Dionne! Dionne!!.. wake up! you have been sleeping at work for hours. Get up and go home!

Trip Chowdhry, a Global Equities Research analyst has revealed some interesting information about Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ: TSLA)’s new product line.

Outside of the fact that it will not be a car, very little is known about what Tesla plans to announce. Some experts think it could be a motorcycle. Others assume that it will be an in-home battery that involves solar energy.
If Chowdhry’s information is correct, it seems that Tesla is ready to launch the in-home battery.

Testing, 1, 2, 3…
In a note to investors, Chowdhry said that he knows of two people that own a residential battery from Tesla. He spoke to one of those owners and detailed the following bullet points:

• “The Battery has to be installed 1.5 feet above the ground, and should have an open space of 1 ft on all sides.
• “The battery does not make any noise, does not need any maintenance, has no drippings.”
• “The Battery has the inverter also.”
• “The battery is about 3 ft tall and 2.5 ft wide and looks good.”
• “His battery can be controlled from his iPhone, and has a web application also.”
• “Charging directly from the Outlet. He does it…He charges the battery at night at $0.11 and then at 3:00 PM sells it back to Grid at $0.43. He tells me he makes between $10 to $12 every month doing this.”
• “Fully off Grid. His battery can be charged by a regular generator also.”
• “He has not had any problems with the Battery System…and gets OTA Software updates almost a couple of times a month.”

Chowdhry’s report also indicates that the 10 kWh battery could be priced at $13,000 with a 50 percent rebate from PG&E Corporation (NYSE: PCG). The nameless owner was offered many pricing plans (which he apparently cannot remember), but chose a plan that allowed him to pay $1,500 down and $15 per month for 10 years. After that the installer will retrieve the battery pack.
How Smart is this battery anyway?
Last year, Chowdhry attended a sustainability conference and learned that Google Inc (NASDAQ: GOOG) is “widely believed” to have a few Tesla (commercial-grade) batteries in some of its buildings. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) might also purchase some of these batteries for its new campus.
Chowdhry believes that Tesla’s commercial-grade batteries are rated at more than 400 kWh.

Also, according to founder and CEO of Tesla Motors Inc, Elon Musk, Tesla will introduce a new product line separate from cars on Thursday, April 30 at 9 PM PT. The executive tweeted the news from his account on Monday, but so far has shared no other details about what might be in the works.

Musk has previously gone on record saying the company is gearing up to produce a new battery to power people’s homes instead of just their cars. During the company’s most recent earnings call in February, he revealed that the consumer battery pack for home use could enter production in as few as six months. This new category could well be this home battery, since the timing fits.
A Tesla home battery could be useful as a backup in case of outages, for homes located off-grid, or as a storage solution for customers using solar power collection installations in their homes.
Of course, Musk could be referring to something else entirely – we’ll know by the end of next month what exactly Tesla has up its sleeve.

Georgina Chloe Eku Edewor-Thorley is a British Nigerian television presenter, model and actress. She was born on the 18th of December in London, but she was raised in Nigeria until she turned 13, she returned to the United Kingdom.

Eku Edewor’s mother; Juliana Edewor is from Delta state, Nigeria while her father; Hugh Thorley is British. Her parents divorced when she was young and they both remarried.

Eku Edewor had her primary education at St. Saviour’s School and Grange School in Nigeria. Her secondary education was at the Benenden School for Girls; a boarding school in London. She graduated with a second class upper degree in English Literature and theater studies from the prestigious University of Warwick Conventry, England in 2008 and in 2009, Eku Edewor did a three months course in acting for film at the New York Film Academy.

She have an identical twin sister, Kessiana who is equally as gorgeous as she. They fit the phrase ”Double Trouble” perfectly. Kessiana is based in the UK and also have interest in fashion. Kessiana read English at Newcastle. Eku Edewor talked on how adventurous growing up in Nigeria was for her and her sister, she said:

I lived next door to my cousins in Apapa and we got caught up in so many adventures. We built boats for the rainy season. We chased the nanny away because we thought she wasn’t nice enough. That, and many more, make memories of my youth, and I cherish every bit of it.

Her stepfather was a huge influence in her live and his death is her saddest experience. When she came back to Nigeria, she worked in her mother’s restaurant, the Chardonnay Restaurant and Bar. Five months after her return, Eku Edewor attended an open audition for co-host on 53 Extra, a lifestyle and entertainment show that is produced by M-Net and got the platform. 53 extra impacted greatly in her success and since then, she has hosted several shows which include The Big Brother Africa All Stars, Pepsi Top Ten Countdown, Channel O Africa Music Award and a lot more shows in Africa, London and New York City. Elon Musk (originally Elon Reeve Musk) is a South African-born, Canadian-American entrepreneur, engineer, inventor and investor. He is the CEO and CTO of SpaceX, CEO and chief product architect of Tesla Motors, and chairman of SolarCity. He is the founder of SpaceX and a co-founder of Paypal, Inc., Tesla Motors, and Zip2. He has also envisioned a conceptual high-speed transportation system known as the Hyperloop.

Elon Musk was born on June 28, 1971, in Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa, to a Canadian-English mother and prominent model Maye Musk and a South African-born British father and electrical/mechanical engineer Errol Musk. After his parents divorced in 1980, Musk lived mostly with his father in locations in South Africa. He taught himself computer programming, and at age 12 sold the computer code for a video game called Blastar for $500.
Musk attended Waterkloof House Preparatory School before graduating from Pretoria Boys High School and moving to Canada in 1988 at age 17, after obtaining Canadian citizenship through his mother. He did so before his South African military service, reasoning that it would be easier to migrate to the United States from Canada than from South Africa.

At age 19, Elon Musk was accepted into Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario for undergraduate study, and in 1992, after spending two years at Queen’s University, Musk transferred to the University of Pennsylvania where he eventually received a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the Wharton School. On Tesla; Elon Musk co-founded the company with Martin Eberhard, Marc Tarpenning, JB Straubel, and Ian Wright. Following the financial crisis in 2008, Musk assumed leadership of the company as CEO and product architect, positions he still holds today. Tesla Motors first built an electric sports car, the Tesla Roadster, with sales of about 2,500 vehicles to 31 countries. Tesla began delivery of its four-door Model S sedan on June 22, 2012 and unveiled its third product, the Model X, aimed at the SUV/minivan market, on February 9, 2012. Model X is scheduled to begin production in early 2015. In addition to its own cars, Tesla sells electric powertrain systems to Daimler for the Smart EV, Mercedes B-Class Electric Drive and Mercedes A Class and to Toyota for the RAV4 EV. Musk was able to bring in both companies as long-term investors in Tesla.

Musk has favored building a sub-$30,000 subcompact and building and selling electric vehicle powertrain components so that other automakers can produce electric vehicles at affordable prices without having to develop the products in house. Several mainstream publications have compared him with Henry Ford for his work on advanced vehicle powertrains.

To overcome the range limitations of electric cars, Musk said in an interview with All Things D in May 2013 that Tesla is “dramatically accelerating” their network of supercharger stations, tripling the number on the East and West coasts of the U.S. that June, with plans for more expansion across North America, including Canada, throughout the year. He is reported to have a 32% stake in Tesla, which is valued at US$18 billion, as of November 2013. His annual salary at Tesla is one dollar, and similar to Steve Jobs and others, the remainder of his compensation is in the form of stock and performance-based bonuses.

Elon Musk is also chairman of the Musk Foundation, which focuses its philanthropic efforts on science education, pediatric health, and clean energy. In 2010, the foundation created a program focused on donating solar-power systems for critical needs in disaster areas. The first such solar-power installation was donated to a hurricane response center in Alabama that had been neglected by state and federal aid. To make it clear that this program was not serving Musk’s own commercial interests, SolarCity noted that it had no presence or planned business activity in that state. In a 2011 visit to Soma City in Fukushima, Japan, which had been devastated by tsunami, Elon Musk donated a solar power project valued at $250,000 to the city.

Musk had plans for a “Mars Oasis” project in 2001, which would land a miniature experimental greenhouse on Mars, containing food crops growing on Martian regolith. Ultimately Musk ended up founding SpaceX with the long-term goal of creating a true spacefaring civilization. Musk’s philosophy and description of what is needed to solve the problem are provided in the IEEE podcast “Elon Musk: a founder of PayPal, Tesla Motors, and SpaceX” and article “Risky Business.”

In April 2012, Musk joined The Giving Pledge, committing to donate the bulk of his fortune to philanthropic causes. Elon Musk became a member of the campaign first popularised by Warren Buffett and Bill Gates with a class of 12 of America’s wealthiest families and individuals.

In January 2015 Musk donated $10M to the Future of Life Institute to run a global research program aimed at keeping artificial intelligence beneficial to humanity.

Car blog Jalopnik reported on August 16, 2012 that Musk was supporting an effort by Matthew Inman of The Oatmeal to preserve the site of Nikola Tesla’s lab on Long Island, New York and turn it into a museum, the Tesla Science Center at Wardenclyffe. After further discussion with Inman, Elon Musk agreed to donate $1 million toward the construction of a museum on the Wardenclyffe property. As well, Musk pledged to build a Tesla Supercharger station for use in the museum’s parking lot.

Musk is a trustee of the X Prize Foundation, promoting renewable-energy technologies. He also sits on the boards of The Space Foundation, The National Academies Aeronautics and Space Engineering Board, Stanford Engineering Advisory Board and on the board of trustees of Caltech.

Musk owns a McLaren F1 sports car. He crashed and ‘wrecked’ the car while it was uninsured. He also previously owned a Czech-made jet trainer aircraft Aero L-39. The 1994 model Dassault Falcon 900 aircraft used in the 2005 film Thank You for Smoking is registered to Musk (N900SX), and Musk had a cameo as the pilot of his plane, opening the door for Robert Duvall and escorting Aaron Eckhart aboard. Musk owns Wet Nellie, the Lotus Esprit from the James Bond film The Spy Who Loved Me. He plans to convert it into the functional car-submarine from the film. Musk attended the Burning Man festival in 2004 and has said he first thought up the idea for SolarCity at the festival.

Musk has been married three times, twice to the same woman. He met his first wife, Canadian author Justine Musk (née Wilson) while both were students at Ontario’s Queen’s University, Kingston. They married in 2000 and separated eight years later after having six sons, five of whom they share custody. Their first son, Nevada Alexander, died of SIDS when he was 10 weeks old. Following the divorce, Justine Musk gave an interview describing her marriage with Musk in Marie Claire magazine. Musk announced in January 2012 that he had recently ended a four-year relationship with his second wife, British actress Talulah Riley. On January 18, 2012, he tweeted to Riley, “It was an amazing four years. I will love you forever. You will make someone very happy one day.” In July 2013, he decided to remarry Riley. On February 11, 2014, Musk was invited to attend a state dinner at the White House; the guest list included Musk and Riley. In a 60 Minutes interview on March 30, 2014 with CBS journalist Scott Pelley, Elon and Riley were shown together with Elon’s five children. • Inc Magazine Entrepreneur of the Year award for 2007 for his work on Tesla and SpaceX.
• 2007 Index Design award for his design of the Tesla Roadster. Global Green 2006 product design award for his design of the Tesla Roadster, presented by Mikhail Gorbachev.
• Listed as one of Time’s 100 people who most affected the world in 2010. In the review, Jon Favreau mentions that Elon Musk also helped him make the character of Tony Stark seem real.
• In 2012, Musk was awarded with the Royal Aeronautical Society’s highest award – a Gold Medal.
• Musk was the 2012 recipient of Smithsonian magazine’s American Ingenuity Award in the Technology category.
• In 2013, Musk was named the Fortune Businessperson of the year for SpaceX, SolarCity, and Tesla Motors.

Cyber Attacks: If you thought, the internet was a place to do just about anything and go scott-free, well you thought wrong. In years ahead, virtual life would be very much monitored and controlled as in real life. Presently plans are in place to sanction internet offenders.

The US has taken a step further as an order for the creation of a programme that would allow the government to sanction foreign hackers , has been placed by President Barack Obama.

In line with this, the US Treasury will now be able to target cyber attackers who attempt any such attack on US assets and infrastructure.

According to Obama, cyber attacks-threats are one of the most serious economic and national security challenges that the US faces.

I would like to mention that not only the US, but other countries including developing countries having a teeming population of youths who are heavy internet users, need to also be wary of this.

The White House has not announced any new sanctions, only the authority to impose them when it deems necessary was made clear.

Recall that sometime in January, the US imposed new sanctions on North Korea in response to a cyber attack against Sony Pictures.

This new programme  by the United States, is the product of an executive order issued by the president yesterday.

The authorisation gives the US Treasury Secretary – in coordination with the Attorney General and Secretary of State – the ability to sanction “individuals or entities” that pose a cyber threat to the “national security, foreign policy, or economic health or financial stability of the United States.

The tool will not be used to target free speech on the internet or to curtail digital innovation and will not replace traditional law enforcement responses to cyber threats. Instead, it is another tool for combating the threats when they originate from places with weak cyber security laws, or that have otherwise eluded traditional responses.

In December, Sony Pictures was initially forced to pull its comedy The Interview from theatres after hackers released the personal data of its employees and embarrassing emails written by executives. The hackers also threatened violence at cinemas. Sony eventually decided to release the film in theatres and online.

This programme as already mentioned will not be enforced within the US alone but it is targeted at the international body; hence you might want to refrain from cyber attacking.

Kehinde Bankole is a Nigerian actress, model and television host. She made her entertainment debut in the 2003 Miss Commonwealth Nigeria beauty contest. Then she proceeded to the 2004 Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria pageant. She won the revelation of the year award at the 2009 Best of Nollywood Awards, two years after her first screen feature in Wale Adenuga’s Super story.

She was born as the 4th child in a family of six. She has a twin sister who also acts occasionally. Kehinde Bankole studied at Tunwase Nursery and Primary School, Ikeja. She was admitted to study Mass Communication at Olabisi Onabanjo University but took a break to concentrate more on her modelling career in 2004.

Kehinde Bankole’s first entertainment experience was when she auditioned as a contestant in Miss Commonwealth Nigeria pageant in 2003, although she did not win, she claimed the “exposure” was all she really wanted as she made the top 10.

When the Duke Blue Devils tip off against the Spartans of Michigan State in Indianapolis on Saturday, it’s easy to imagine Sarah Haig hanging out by the guacamole dip at some flat-screen Final Four party, rooting on her North Carolina-based alma mater.

“I can never anticipate the follow-up questions,” Haig said.”If it’s a physicist they’re going to say, ‘What kind of nuclear bomb detector do you build?’ And then I get into the details.

From her incubator space in Somerville, Haig and her business partner, Andrew Inglis, are working hard to bring to market atomic bomb detectors for use in the United States and abroad. “We’re in Act II of a Shakespearean five-act play,” she said.

Haig and Inglis are the principals at an entrepreneurial venture called Silverside Detectors, which operates out of space formerly that of Ames Safety Envelope Company, once Somerville’s largest employer.

Those 33,000 square feet of what had been industrial space have been transformed into something akin to a fantasy factory for Silverside and some 40 other startups.

In the lab space where Haig and Inglis are breathing life into their nuclear detectors, their business-world soul mates are also building the next generation of 3D printers, or perfecting robots that can inspect hundreds of miles of railroad tracks for imperfections.

One firm is building the first fully functioning airborne wind turbine.

“It’s an amazing feeling to be in the room and to be a part of all of that.”. The 34-year-old Haig found her way here after having already built microfinance companies in China and advised NATO about development priorities in Afghanistan. When she graduated from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government in 2012, she was introduced to Inglis and found a new passion.”I can bite off one tiny corner of this immense issue and do something,” she said.

“Budgets are tight and equipment is expensive and nobody expects an improvised nuclear device.

When she’s not, she’s running marathons or writing limericks – perhaps better icebreakers over that guacamole dip Saturday.

Gifts come in many ways, for several reasons and at different time in our lives. Many times we crave to give or receive the perfect gift from our loved ones.

Gift giving is an art, it’s not just a trend; don’t have the “Everybody’s doing it” mindset, it has to come from your heart.  Some gifts cannot be bought with money, you have to understand that even something as little as spending quality time with a loved one is worth more than a thousand gifts. Going to see that sick friend in the hospital is also a gift; you may not know what you’re doing but you’re healing that person from within.

It’s Easter, and this period a gift greater than any other before or after it was given to us; God the Father Gave us His only son to die on the cross for us so that he might die for sin and we would live in righteousness.

In all, whatever gift you plan to give your loved ones, or acquaintances, remember the greatest gift of all is love. Not the human kind but the GOD kind of love “AGAPE LOVE”. Love conquers all, it never betrays and no matter how hard you try to suppress it, you can’t because we were all born from love, with love, to show love to the world and make it a better place.

Remember to show love this season, and always. And a stuffed Easter bunny would be nice also.

Microsoft few hours ago launched Office Lens, a mobile document scanner app that works with OneNote, for iOS and Android smartphones. The app, which allows users to snap photos of paper documents, receipts, business cards, menus, whiteboards, sticky notes and more, was first launched a year ago as an application designed only for Windows Phone devices.

But in conjunction with the company’s newer strategy to embrace other platforms outside its own, the app has now arrived on Apple’s App Store and on Android phones, where it will sit alongside dozens of other Microsoft applications, including Office and Outlook.

Office Lens’ core functionality itself is not all that different from a number of document-scanning applications on the mobile app stores today, like scannerPro.

Like most scanner apps, Office Lens identifies the text on the images it captures using optical character recognition (OCR), which allows you to later locate the file in question using keyword search in OneNote or in Microsoft’s cloud storage site, OneDrive. You can also convert the images you scan of paper files and whiteboards into Microsoft Office formats and more, including Word documents, PowerPoint presentations and even PDFs and JPGs. These can be inserted into OneNote as images, the company says.

The new Office Lens app is available on the iTunes App Store for iOS users, while Android users are being asked to join the “preview” for the product via Google+. From here, they’ll be able to test the version ahead of its public release.

Wow! You really are multi-talented, all these things? Just you? It is nice and impressive. So, I learnt you started a project please can you tell us about it?

Well, that’s true. It is called GOSHEN FILM ACADEMY.

Goshen Film Academy? Hmm… that sounds nice. So please you have caught our interest. Explain further.

Goshen Film Academy (a subsidiary of Goshen Media & Entertainment) is the result of a simple thought to bring the art and craft of filmmaking to passionate mind. Though first conceived in 2007, in 2009, the Academy took the giant stride to empower young youths and youths alike, equipping them with new age techniques in the movie industry.

We offer internship training course on Acting, Cinematography, Film/video Editing, Screen writing, Film/TV Directing, Music Production, Media presentation, Makeup Artistry etc.

We began our journey with a handful of students who today we proudly call friends and associates. Our mission was never to churn out mere technicians, but to equip an individual to think beyond the ordinary. After all creativity cannot be restricted within parameters! Alibaba Group Holding Limited is a Chinese e-commerce company that provides consumer-to-consumer, business-to-consumer and business-to-business sales services via web portals. It also provides electronic payment services, a shopping search engine and data-centric cloud computing services.

Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba has teamed up with Indian mobile and analytics firm Globals to setup a startup incubator in Bengaluru.

It will focus on mobile Internet and mobile commerce.

The agreement comes less than two months after Alibaba acquired 25% stake in Indian mobile commerce firm Paytm for $550 million.

Globals founder Suhas Gopinath told the Times of India that he met Alibaba founder Jack Ma in New Delhi earlier this week, and the two companies agreed on the incubator.

Gopinath said the idea for the incubator came from mobile search engine Quixey’s COO Guru Gowrappan.

The mobile incubator will start functioning by June.

The Chinese company said it would help these ventures “Scale aggressively in India and across the world.” Alibaba and Globals will also provide seed funding to the selected startups.

Alibaba is focusing on mobile commerce in the Indian market as the number of mobile Internet users is growing at an exponential rate.

India’s leading e-commerce company Flipkart has ditched its mobile website to concentrate on mobile apps.

Alibaba shares fell 0.12% to $83.14 in pre-market trading Wednesday.

With many brand names and different operating systems (OS) such as the iOS, the Andriod OS, Windows OS; knowing the kind of device to choose from is a drag these days. But fear not for i will help you to know the right kind of device for you.
Naturally, different people use their smartphones for different purposes. But for optimum efficiency of your device, the device has to suit you and your lifestyle.
Let’s get right to it shall we,

1. #iOS

The iOS is one of the most famous Smartphone Operating Systems that is used by a lot of people in the market currently. It runs on the iPhone and iPad devices and is in tough competition against the Android OS.

If you are looking for a simple operating system with the simplest interface that has ever existed then the best choice for you is to choose the iOS. The interface is very easy to use and everything seems pretty much in place and in order.

The iOS places simplicity above all else. The iOS feels very smooth when it comes to performance  and usage, there is a huge range of applications available on the App Store which is the market place for iOS applications. Without any more delay we would start getting onto the facts and figures. As compared to other smartphone operating systems the Windows Operating System stepped into the arena late and it is yet to shine on the market and by the pace it is attracting people towards itself it very impressive.

As of now, the Windows Operating System does not have as many applications on the “Windows Store” as the Play Store (Android) or the App Store (iOS) but it is being developed at a very fast rate thanks to Microsoft for providing the best development tools to young graduates and students who are making the store shine brighter and brighter with each passing day.

Performance of the phone usually varies from one phone to another although there has never been an issue with the performance of phone which running the Windows OS and more importantly the phones provide an amazing battery backup which is very rare and attractive about the phone. Another impressive feature of the Windows Operating System is that it provides all the OS updates directly on the phone and that includes each and every phone that is based on the Windows OS so there is no discrimination between the expensive devices and the not so expensive windows devices.

But since this OS hasn’t spent much time in the market, there’s still much improvements to be made, hopefully Microsoft will  look into it.

The 1st Mr Swag UNIZIK, Mr Anambra Tourism 2013, Mr Tourism Nigeria 2013/2014 and the CEO of LASGIDEE Entertainment, organizers Of Most Beautiful Face In Anambra (MBFA2015).

You’ve achieved quite a lot man. But we ain’t here to talk about you, let’s know more about the MBFA.

The project, MBFA 2015 is the company’s pet project and we ventured into it to create a bigger and larger platform for young ladies to inspire other lives, to become their own ‎boss, to build entrepreneurship in ladies etc.
There are over 50 girls who registered for it; 25 qualified after the screening sections, but only 21 climbs the grand finale stage at last. The contestants go into camp on 20th April, Variety Night on the 23rd of April and Grand finale on 24th of April.

Bovi Ugboma is a Nigerian comedian, actor, writer, producer, director and MC. He was born on 25th September, 1979 in Benin City and he is from Delta state, Nigeria.

Bovi attended Uniben Staff School for his primary education, for his secondary education he attended three secondary schools, Government College, Ughelli, Edokpolor Grammar School, Benin and Boys Model secondary School, Onicha-Olona, Delta State. In 2002, Bovi obtained a BSc in Theatre Arts in the University of Delta, Abraka.

He served as a news reporter with NTA Lokoja in 2003 and proceeded to Lagos immediately after service. In 2004, Bovi worked for 2 years and 6 months as a personal assistant to Richard Mofe-Damijo, a Nigerian actor. Bovi Ugboma set up his own production team in September 2006 and on the 1st of April 2007, the hit sitcom Extended Family hit the airwaves. It was produced and written by Bovi, he also starred in it.

The sitcom was very interesting thus, it became a household name. This was the starting point of Bovi’s success. Bovi became one the most sourced comedian in Nigeria in 2008 and he participated in several comedy shows and events like, Nite of a thousand laugh which was organized by Opa Williams.

Bovi Ugboma also produced several tv shows like The Bovi Ugboma Show; a Sitcom and Bovi: Man On Fire (Stand Up Comedy) which he got Jarule and R’n’B sensation Ashanti for. The show has featured in major cities worldwide. They include Toronto, Edmonton, Calgary and Winnipeg in Canada, Kharkov, Luhansk and Kiev in Ukraine, Houston USA and London in the United Kingdom. He also does several comedy skits and one of my favorite is ‘the fish’.

He is married to Christabel Ugboma and their union is blessed with two kids. Currently, Bovi is the CEO of Kountry Kulture Networks Ltd, a production house for television, film and events. Bovi’s jokes can get you cracking your ribs and recently, he don dey chop up.

Bitcoin is an innovative payment network and a new kind of money. It uses peer-to-peer technology to operate with no central authority or banks; managing transactions and the issuing of bitcoins is carried out collectively by the network

It’s been declared dead countless times in the West, but in Kenya’s start-up scene Bitcoin is all the rage.

In the Western world, to say that the crypto-currency Bitcoin has publicity problem is to put it mildly.

For years journalists covering the tech industry have been proclaiming that Bitcoin, as a currency, is dead. But in Africa, Bitcoin’s future is looking up.

A number of start-up companies in Kenya have been attracting investment in the hopes that Bitcoin could be a new answer to an old problem: the high cost of sending remittances.

It uses its own network to carry out money transfers without any central authority or banks.

Kenyan start-up BitPesa claims it can send Bitcoin to Kenya for a mere three percent – considerably cheaper than a company like Western Union.

“In the US, when people want to buy bitcoins they have to wire their money using a bank, and it takes a couple of days to get your funds into an exchange. But in Kenya I don’t have to use a bank – I just use my mobile phone,” he said.

Not everyone is convinced Bitcoin will have an easy time breaking into the African remittances market.

Bitcoin can be a difficult concept to understand, Kimani acknowledges, and its global reputation does not inspire confidence.

Gareth Grobler, CEO of the South African Bitcoin exchange ICE3X, pointed out that well-established companies like Western Union still had a major advantage when it came to trust.

It’s lack of liquidity right now, he added, would make it difficult for a start-up to scale up.

Bitcoin could help Nigerians pay for things online, said Grobler, allowing international companies to safely tap into a vast market.

“No company in the rest of the world is going to say no to someone paying them with Bitcoin, if they’ve got a payment processor like BitPay,” said Grobler.

Let’s say that you need to send your friend a message, but you don’t want another person to know what it is. You can use a full-blown encryption tool, such as PGP. If the message isn’t that important or if it is intended to be decrypted by hand, you should use a simpler tool. This is a page dedicated to simple text manipulation tools, which all can be replicated with just paper and pencil.

Media startup The Cipher Online, which will provide national security news targeted at the business community, has raised $1.3 million in seed funding led by San Francisco-based Alsop Louie Partners.

According to founder Suzanne Kelly, the round also included four angel investors from across the country with an interest in the national security space.

Suzanne Kelly said the news product would be focused on highlighting both international risks and opportunities for the national business community – industries such as energy, hospitality and finance, for example.

“It takes a lot more than just getting an email every morning with headlines to position you to make good decisions for your business,” she said.

A basic version of the digital news product, which Suzanne Kelly said would likely feature one piece of news content per day, will launch in three weeks.

A full launch of the site, which will include free content and exclusive content behind a subscription-based paywall, is expected to launch in June.

Suzanne Kelly said she would aim to hire a mix of more experienced news hands and some lesser-known analysts.

Suzanne Kelly worked for CNN as an intelligence correspondent until 2013, but has also worked for the company as a producer in Atlanta and a Berlin-based news anchor.

She is also the author of “Master of War: Blackwater USA’s Erik Prince and the Business of War.”

Is family really important? It may seem like a dumb question but I need to know because I believe I’m confused in that aspect.

 
First and foremost, what is a family?

 
According to Wikipedia, in the context of human society, a family (gotten from the latin word ‘familia’) is a group of people affiliated by recognized birth, by marriage, or co-residence and /or shared consumption. In English, what I just wrote means a family is a group of two or more people that are related by blood, marriage, adoption, step or fostering, and who usually live together in the same household.

 
In most societies, the family is the principal institution for the socialization of children. As the basic unit for raising children, anthropologists generally classify most family organization as matrifocal (mother and her children); conjugal (a husband, his wife, and children; also called the nuclear family). Sexual relations among the members are regulated by rules concerning incest such as the incest taboo.

 
Family can also be used metaphorically to create more inclusive categories such as community, nationhood, global village and humanism.

So, from the above stated facts, is family really important?

 
I lost my dad when I was just 7 months old so we can agree that I had a ‘matrifocal’ family growing up. Funny enough, it stopped when I became 10 years old because my mom had to relocate and I was stuck her older brother and his family. Don’t get me wrong it was fun but surely I knew something was missing.

 
Now, the joke in all this is; it didn’t take long before I lost that yearn to see my mom. That pull of a child to his/her parent had flushed out of my life and up till date I don’t seem to feel it. It seems wrong but I can’t help it. My mom keeps complaining that I’m performing a continental drift from her and I’ve tried to draw near but it feels like using my left hand to draw a picture.

 
Why am I telling you these things? Why did I ask the question; is family really important?

I need answers to know if I’m doing the right thing or not because I’m actually happy without the whole dad, mom, brothers and sisters -ish. I am a lone wolf and it is kinda cool.

 
Don’t get me wrong folks, I LOVE MY FAMILY, and even if I don’t think FAMILY is important, I know for sure that it is EVERYTHING.
