Eku Edewor Is Entertainment Royalty

Georgina Chloe Eku Edewor-Thorley is a British Nigerian television presenter, model and actress. She was born on the 18th of December in London, but she was raised in Nigeria until she turned 13, she returned to the United Kingdom.

Eku Edewor’s mother; Juliana Edewor is from Delta state, Nigeria while her father; Hugh Thorley is British. Her parents divorced when she was young and they both remarried.

Eku Edewor had her primary education at St. Saviour’s School and Grange School in Nigeria. Her secondary education was at the Benenden School for Girls; a boarding school in London. She graduated with a second class upper degree in English Literature and theater studies from the prestigious University of Warwick Conventry, England in 2008 and in 2009, Eku Edewor did a three months course in acting for film at the New York Film Academy.

She have an identical twin sister, Kessiana who is equally as gorgeous as she. They fit the phrase ”Double Trouble” perfectly. Kessiana is based in the UK and also have interest in fashion. Kessiana read English at Newcastle. Eku Edewor talked on how adventurous growing up in Nigeria was for her and her sister, she said:

I have always had a very vibrant imagination and because of the fun I had growing up, I like to describe my childhood as something out of the Famous Five. I lived next door to my cousins in Apapa and we got caught up in so many adventures. We built boats for the rainy season. We chased the nanny away because we thought she wasn’t nice enough. School was fun too, [with] the theatrical activities and a few other things. I remember performing at the National theatre once in a professional play, and the country’s first lady was present. That, and many more, make memories of my youth, and I cherish every bit of it.

Eku Edewor started off as a model, and a contestant in a television reality show Britain’s Next Top Model. In 2010, she returned to Nigeria after her stepfather died. Her stepfather was a huge influence in her live and his death is her saddest experience. When she came back to Nigeria, she worked in her mother’s restaurant, the Chardonnay Restaurant and Bar. Five months after her return, Eku Edewor attended an open audition for co-host on 53 Extra, a lifestyle and entertainment show that is produced by M-Net and got the platform. 53 extra impacted greatly in her success and since then, she has hosted several shows which include The Big Brother Africa All Stars, Pepsi Top Ten Countdown, Channel O Africa Music Award and a lot more shows in Africa, London and New York City. Acting has always been Eku Edewor’s passion, two years after making a name for herself in presenting, she starred in few film like Flower Girl and When Love Comes Around.

When you talk about fashion in Nigeria, Eku Edewor surely pops up.  She is every designer’s muse, why not? she have got an attractive white skin, legs for days and a Modella figure. Her own fashion sense is unique and she is not afraid to try out new things, from constantly changing her hair colour and style to making African prints look fabulous, she is deffinately a fashionist. Eku Edewor keeps her relationship private and the only thing we know is that she is dating a Nigerian man.

In my opinion, Eku Edewor is the Nigerian IT girl, she is rising to stardom and nothing is going to take her down. And in all these, the one thing I admire most about her is that she likes to have fun and she knows how to have a good time, she has also got good dance moves. Eku Edewor is entertainment royalty.
