Nollywood’s Ivie Okujaye

Ivie-OkujayeIvie Okujaye was born in Benin City to a deltan father and an Edo State mother on the 16th of May 1987. She is the last of 5 children. She has often stated that her parents wanted her to study medicine due to the presence of several medical practitioners in her family. She spent the first 10 years of her life in Benin before settling in Abuja. She had her primary education at Our Ladies of Apostle private school. She attended Queens College Yaba Lagos before studying Economics at University of Abuja.

She is a Nigerian actress, producer, scriptwriter, dancer, singer and activist. In 2009 she participated and won the Amstel Malta Box Office (AMBO) reality TV show. She is sometimes called little Genevieve because she resembles actress Genevieve Nnaji. She has been performing on stage years before her nollywood debut. Ivie has featured in several movies like 2013s Kamaras Tree, How she left my Brother (a 7-episode sitcom), The Volunteers and 2014s The Black Silhouette, Dowry with OC Ukeje & Make a Move. In 2012 she was awarded Best Young Actor in Africa Movie Academy Awards. Also she won the Trailblazer award and Best actress in a drama award at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Award in 2013. 2014 gave her the Prize in Entertainment at the prestigious The Future Awards.

Make-a-Move_NL  She acted alongside great celebrities like 2face Idibia, Omawumi, Denrele Edun, Mike Adebayo and Majid Michel in the movie she produced Make a Move 2014.
