YOU HAVE TO BE YOU

We were all brought into this world at different times, from different people and for different reasons. We don’t know those reasons until we have mastered ourselves properly, until we have lived being ourselves. Our lives are worthless when we don’t fulfill our reasons for being here but worthwhile when we give our lives to become who we truly are. BE YOURSELF

Our different races require that we must be ourselves and not only that; we have to be true to ourselves in order to run them without regrets.Being yourself is not something you do with people be it friends or family. It is a personal job which you have to take seriously because any mistake made, lasts for life. Being yourself means that you have to pick up the courage to look deep into yourself to know what inspires you, who you really want to become, what you want the world to remember you for when you are no longer living. i don’t really mean the whole nation, by world I mean those who you will come in contact with while you are still living, those who you might inspire, those who you might help, those who might inspire you, those who might offend you and so on. BE YOURSELF

Steve jobs once said ‘your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life’. Life’s too short . So why would you want to waste your time trying to be somebody else? It doesn’t make sense. Trust me, discovering yourself is more interesting than trying to be who you are not. It is like an adventure just that it doesn’t end because you will keep on discovering your capabilities, your flaws and everything that makes you you till you are no more. I certainly doubt if God would be happy to see his son or daughter who was created for greatness, living a life of mediocrity, maybe because he is trying to be somebody else or because he is scared to stand out.

 
If you are used to doing what others do, letting others decide for you, living the life of others then you have to put that to an end and start living your own life. The earlier that happens the better because time waits for no one. BE YOURSELF

 
It is not bad to have a role model, we have them because they help us know the direction we want our lives to be and also for motivation. But it is bad when we copy everything they do, leaving out what we want and what we want to become. Mother Teresa is my role model and I chose her because each time I remember her or see her picture anywhere I get the zeal to want to help people in need. Choosing her as my role model doesn’t make me want to eat whatever she ate or become a religious nun even when I know it is not my calling. Choosing her as a role model is like a challenge to try to be better than she was.in other words, Be true to yourself, discover who you are and have a fulfilled life being you. Be yourself and be free and someday you would be grateful you made the best decision. BE YOURSELF
