SUG Rag day or is it Cute day?
SUG Rag day is an event that happens during Student’s Union Week in Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. This year’s edition happened on the 1st of July, 2015, it is a day the students are supposed to look neatly dirty in rags (they should be neat but like I wrote earlier, in rags) and go around to get funds for charity, but I still haven’t deciphered what happened this year. I woke up this morning and on my way to work I got the biggest surprise of the day. I left my crib with the mindset that it was SUG Rag day but what I saw rendered me confused and out of words. The students who were supposed to look dirty, putting on rags in the neat way were instead looking cute, hot and sexy in a dirty neat way, throwing away the real concept of SUG Rag day.

But all in all it is all for the money. The worst part of this whole scenario was that the SUG Rag day that was meant for the students turned out to be an affair for all. Every Tom, Dick and Harry decided to rag, even those who doesn’t know the way to the school or know that there is a school called UNIZIK were on board for the SUG Rag day… the hustling is REAL!!!
Lol… I even saw some boys who push wheel barrows on a normal day participating. I have never seen a more determined set of youths. What can we say? It’s all for the money… SUG Rag Day
The SUG week has been fun-filled and educative so far; Praise night on Sunday, Fitness day on Monday, Old school day on Tuesday and so on, this present Student’s Union Government dey really try.
Anyway, we are still expectant on who or which set of people will be gracing the stage of the SUG night on the 4th of July, 2015.
