Our Generation: The Dying Breed
The Dying Breed; Our Generation is something i have been wanting to write on for a long time now and this is the right opportunity.
“I had a dream that one day, the guys and girls of my generation would not be afraid to be themselves, but would walk in the divine purpose that God has set for their lives, we gon’ be aight.”
Prologue
Of every one to touch the face of the earth, this generation has brought more chaos, caused more havoc and planted more weeds in the midst of God’s pure seeds. How it all began no one can tell, it was a sinister plot from the pit of hell. It was all in the quest to find a better man that man fell; because there’s no such thing as a better man. The Dying Breed
Our parents try so hard to save us from the fall, lock us indoors but at the end they just can’t save us all. Ladies are walking around scared to be themselves, artificial extensions stretch from their feet and nails, they’re attracting STD’s more than they attract males (or should I say females with the direction the world is headed). I’m just pouring out my thoughts on our wretched generation, damned by the mistakes our predecessors never saw coming. The Dying Breed
Talk About It
Today you hear stories of rich men who suffered poverty as children, but take a look at their own kids, all spoilt and overweight. Now how are those kids going to learn the values you learnt as a child about money? I’m not saying you should starve them, but be easy on the trigger; spend time nurturing them instead of buying them gifts which cannot soothe the loneliness they feel while you’re away on a business trip.
The Dying Breed
Sure as kids it’s exciting to them, but trust me when they get older and understand the value of parent-children bonding they would be somewhat indignant that you had to spend all that time away from them. Now all that loneliness they begin to feel; especially when they get to meet other kids who have a fierce bond with their parents, what do you expect them to do to all the emotions filling up the well that you created in their soul?
The Dying Breed
That is the crux of the matter; some children convert these emotions with their inbuilt converters, unwise because many become bullies, thrusting their anger at everyone and everything, many drift into pornography; all in a bid to seek the love-gap that is present in their hearts but they never find it, because that’s the wrong place to look!
But who’s gonna tell them that it’s wrong? The parent figure that’s never around?? Heck they even know it’s wrong, the only reason they indulge in it is to feel loved. The world today has failed to address the issues that plague it; instead everybody’s playing the blame game. That’s the easy way out isn’t it?
The old say that the young has no respect for another soul, the young say that the old cannot connect because they’re old. The woman says the man is the equivalence of a dog, the man says,
Never trust a woman, she’ll betray a frog!
The Dying Breed
Light skinned say that dark is less because they’re not as fine, dark skinned say the light skinned are as filthy as the swine. The rich say they despise the poor; that they want them to get their own riches, the poor say they despise the rich, just because they own riches.
The saints say that the sinners won’t be caught up in the clouds; the sinners say the saints all think they’re ‘Holier than Thou.’
The Dying Breed
The church says that the streets should live for Christ, forgive and quit, the streets say that the church is filled with nothing but hypocrites.
The Dying Breed
Where has this game taken us? An excuse is the mure on which one paints a picture of failure and excuses are all that is seen in the world today. It’s time that we man up and learn to cope with our differences. The Dying Breed
