Exclusive Interview with Queen Rebecca Uchenna Ikpo, Most Beautiful Face in Anambra Planet 2016

Today being May 31, 2016 Talksfriendite invited Queen Rebecca Uchenna Ikpo to their studio for an exclusive chat on her recent achievement as the 1^st Runner-Up of MBFA2016, a position that places her as the Most Beautiful Face in Anambra Planet 2016. In addition to the title of MBFA Planet 2016, Queen Rebecca was also dubbed FRIENDITE GLOBAL LIMITED BRAND AMBASSADOR… cool right?

This classy young lady is blessed I’ll say, as she has been given more titles than even the said Winner of the pageantry MBFA2016.

Hi gorgeous!

Hi and good afternoon. Hope you’re doing fine?

Yes, I am.  Thanks for asking. Can we know the origin of Queen Rebecca?

Lol! Origin! Sure! Like you already know my name is Ikpo Uchenna Rebecca, an indigene of Ezinifite in Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra state. Born on the 5^th day of August in the year 1995 and grew up in Lagos. I’m the first of four children.

I attended Our Lady of Apostles Primary School and had my High School experience at the prestigious Queens College. I believe that’s all for now.

All? Come on Queen, I’m the one conducting this interview not the other way round. Anyway, what do you do?

Well, I’m a 200 level student of Sociology and Anthropology in the faculty of Social Sciences, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka.

Nice! A sociologist in the making. Enough of your personal life huhn!? Let’s get down to the main business; Most Beautiful Face in Anambra Planet 2016, how does that make you feel?

*Smiles and shrugs her shoulder* When I heard my name as the 1^st Runner-Up for the MBFA2016 beauty pageant, which automatically makes me MBFA Planet 2016, I was so excited. I had a feeling in my guts that I’d be among the top three. Funny enough, when I was backstage I prayed to God, “You haven’t failed me before Lord and cannot fail me now”. After being called up as 1^st Runner-Up and crowned Most Beautiful Face in Anambra Planet 2016, one smallish lady came and wore me another sash with the inscription “FRIENDITE BRAND AMBASSADOR”. I read it and was like “wow! MBFA Planet 2016 and Friendite Brand Ambassador 2016”.

A friend of mine on seeing it screamed, “Are you serious? Friendite?!?” and she fell into a frenzy, Friendite this, Friendite that.

That’s so amazing. So gist us dear, how did you get to hear about MBFA 2016?

A friend of mine told me about the pageant. I was not interested at first but after much deliberation decided to try it out.

Who sponsored you for the pageantry?

Nobody oh… I did everything myself. I didn’t even tell my mom about it. When I was in my first year I contested for Miss Sociology and came 1^st Runner-Up…

1^st Runner-Up? Is it in your blood?

…lol! It isn’t oh! Anyway, what I got as a prize for the title was a wall clock, can you believe that? A wall clock! So my mom, disappointed at it, said I’d not contest for anything again. When I was going for MBFA 2016 I kept it a secret from her. But before I could get home a neighbor of ours had shown her my picture as the 1^st Runner-Up MBFA 2016 and she was excited.

How was the MBFA camping experience like?

Camping!!! MBFA 2016 camping started on the 23^rd of May at Queen Suites. It was five days of education, enlightenment, discipline and fun. It taught me a whole lot. It built me. I learned how to endure, how to be classy, how to be a Queen and how to manage individuals and their flaws.

It wasn’t easy waking up by 5am, eating breakfast by noon…

(In Pidgin English) nah fasting nah… *I laughed*

…true but it was tiring because within that period of time we were involved in a lot of activities; catwalk training, unity dance, make-up tutorials, etc. We even went out sometimes though, visited the motherless babies’ home, went clubbing and also did publicity for the pageantry at Ifite and Holy Family Youth Village, Amansea.

Sound like you achieved a lot within the five days. Camped till 27^th of May, the day of the event. So after this, what next? Will you still further your pageantry career?

Wanted to stop pageantries but would have to represent Anambra state at the MOST ELEGANT GIRL in NIGERIA 2016.

Do you have any Pet Project as MBFA Planet 2016?

I have one I’d love to run. A youth empowerment project, but I’d be starting with the youths of my hometown, Ezinifite. That would be in December though when I’m sure to have a lot of youths around.

How do you feel becoming Friendite Brand Ambassador?

I feel my dreams are coming true, working with a Social Media company and building the platform for my career. I want to be a Presenter and then own my own media company like Silverbird someday, and Friendite Global Limited is my starting point.

Queen Rebecca Uchenna Ikpo! What drives you in life?

When I look at my background it pushes me to work hard and achieve great things.

Why, if I may ask?

I’m sorry I can’t share. It is something deep and personal.

Alright, Your Highness! We’d like to know what you enjoy doing for fun?

I love dancing, listening to music and acting.

Nice! What about your favorite drink? Don’t tell me it’s HERO

Lol… HERO? Nah… it’s a chilled cup of Smoothie with peanut butter.

Hmmm… you like good things oh… you made mention of acting as something you enjoy doing, so who is your best actress?

Best actress! Let me help our Nollywood, I’d say its Queen Nwokoye because of her originality.

Okay. Madam dancer, what is your favorite song?

*laughing* Work by Rihanna of course.

*bursts into laughter* I’m single and not searching. *continues laughing*
